“People often ask me why I came to America to study. Some people even say, “You came here alone, with no family and friends. You are such a braver”. Well, when they say this, I often think I do not have that braveness, since I cannot even kill insects. They are too scary for me to even touch. However, I do not fear new experiences as long as they are interesting to me. It’s my curiosity. My curiosity shaped my identity because it made me experience new things. It made me grow as a person. So, my identity as a life explorer and a friend of my friends is not a result of being brave, it’s the result of being curious”.
